for the AD intérieurs 2015 exhibition, gwenael nicolas of curiosity has conceived ‘le salon de perception’ (salon of perception). drawing on the theme of ‘a l’avant-garde du style’ (of the avant-garde style), the spatial scheme sees the french architect envision an everyday interior landscape that reveals itself in different dimensions. what seems to be furniture — long, rectangular low seating and tables — metamorphosizes itself into a field of sculptures, whereby the usual typology of the prosaic object disappears and becomes an abstract and intriguing panorama.

gwenael nicolas’s ‘le salon de perception’ is shown along 15 other designers invited to envision the home of tomorrow. the AD intérieurs 2015 exhibition is on show at le palais d’iéna from september 5th-20th, 2015 (2PM-6PM daily).
