the gucci grip sapphire timepiece reveals the craftsmanship that lies beneath

gucci has unveiled a new addition to its genderless grip line. dubbed grip sapphire, the watch was conceived under alessandro michele’s creative vision, and is inspired by the grip tape that skaters use on their decks, referencing the way in which the timepiece fits snugly around the wrist.

the new gucci grip sapphire features a transparent case that reveals the craftsmanship that lies beneath. made completely out of sapphire crystal, the watch is equipped with a novel jumping hours movement that is exalted by the colored cyclops windows— it jumps forward once an hour and has a minute dial that rotates every 60 minutes. each watch features a translucent rubber strap with an interlocking double-G logo embossed pattern and comes in four colors: clear, blue, green and pink.
