send greetings from self-isolation with these retro 'home postcards'

since we can’t travel like we used to, amanda weedmark has designed a set of adorable postcards that can be sent from self-isolation at home. the goal with the project is to put a spotlight on the ‘home experience’ and provide a creative outlet to share these strange times with socially distant friends and family. with that, we may begin to take more notice of, and fully appreciate, everyday things we may have taken for granted before, like enjoying more home-cooked meals, spending days in our PJs, playing games with live-in family members, or even just finding the time to slow down.

5 retro-inspired postcards are illustrated by amanda weedmark to feature rooms of a 70s-style home to represent the rooms we may be ‘visiting’ more often now due to self-isolation. it also visually takes us back to a simpler time, when being at home and enjoying the simple things in life were more common. the reverse side of the postcards offer space for you to share your experiences with socially distant friends and family.

beyond any pandemic, these postcards are also great for the introvert or stay-cationers, allowing the designs to live on beyond this point in time. until august 31, 2020, $1 from each set sold will be donated to humane canada to help provide immediate, much-needed funding to improve animal welfare in canada and lead efforts to help pets and families stay together during COVID-19.⁠⠀
