in case you missed saul bass’ 93rd birthday yesterday, google has created a series of ‘doodles’ to celebrate a number of his film credits in succinct succession. best known for his design of motion picture title sequences – from alfred hitchcock, stanley kubrick, and martin scorsese films – and world renown corporate logos, the illustrations by matthew cruickshank manage to merge google with bass’ graphic sensibilities.
