UPDATE: ‘les french’ collection is on show on gallery FUMI london, 9th january – 31 march 2017.
glithero first debuted the ‘les french’ furniture series in 2009. characterized by ad-hoc bamboo frames bound at the joints with rope, the ‘les french’ designs are first constructed in bamboo and wax before being cast entirely in bronze; using the lost material casting process to render each work unique. the family of furniture is then finished in combinations of polished natural bronze and gun black patina. the collection now includes: a coffee table, hall table, stepped low shelves, sideboard shelves and a tall shelving stack; and is available through gallery fumi.
