dutch designer frederik roijé has sent designboom images of his latest project ‘tablefields’. influenced by the fascination of rice fields, geometric forms and height differences of grasslands are translated into a series of folded powder-coated surfaces with lacquered ash wood legs. manufactured in holland, the collection is produced using a single piece of sheet metal, demonstrating the complexities associated with ‘stepping’ formations found in grain-cultivation grounds.
'there is no real, defined space, there’s just the reflection’ – designboom speaks with Hermès artistic directors charlotte macaux perelman and alexis fabry.
