for the past ten years, fred perry and raf simons have undergone an extensive collaboration that has linked high streetwear with men’s fashion. to commemorate this decade, they have selected 100 pieces from the archive which they will be dropping around the world in areas where subcultures are thriving. athens was the first city, followed by belgrade and seems like seoul is coming up next.
named after a tennis player, fred perry launched its first tennis shirt in wimbledon—hence their logo—in 1952, resulting in an immediate success. by the 1960s, the garments became a symbol of mod culture and today it still remains as one of britain’s favorite heritage brand. the collaboration with raf simons has seen his bold graphic designs stamped along polo shirts and harrington jackets, mixing the best of both worlds.
