‘fox and freeze 1’

‘ff1’ or ‘fox & freeze 1’ is an indoor lounge chair designed by
belgian creative cooperation
fox and freeze, consisting of james van vossel and tom de vrieze. the
design is made out
of one square sheet of synthetic felt with a self supporting structure.
the shell and base are
not separated from the sheet but remain connected starting from the
square surface.

similar to a scarf, the felt sheet is twisted twice, which gives the design both
a symmetric
and asymmetric appearance. the design is contracted by the flax rope giving the chair
its final form.
