spare time and energy with the flykly smart wheel: a pedal assist that encases an ultra-thin electric motor fitted onto the spokes of a bicycle rim. the intelligent electronic packed pouch fits onto nearly every ordinary bicycle frame and is available in different sizes and colors, allowing the design to adapt to any personal bicycle. as a user starts pedaling, the motor turns on and begins to accelerate to the desired speed.

the design is a simple and efficient addition to any traditional bike. installation requires the removal of the back wheel and the replacement of the flykly smart wheel, without extraneous wires or gadgets to overcomplicate the equipment. the smart wheel incorporates design power and portability. it goes up to 20 mph (25 km/h) for a 30 miles (50 km) range and weights only 9 lbs (4 kg). the project is currently seeking funding on kickstarter, here.

included in the design is the smart light, a bright LED bulb which illuminates the street in the dark. attached safety straps allow to secure a phone to its surface while riding. by connecting to dynamo generator, the small system also functions as a convenient phone charger equipped with a USB port for quick recharges.
