accompanying the australian electronic artist flume while he performs is the interactive infinity prism, designed, built and programmed by australian studio toby and pete. the record label, future classic wanted to develop a symbol that would be immediately recognizable as ‘flume’. the light installation is entirely driven by the musician’s performance and consists of six handmade LED screens and two mirrors. in 2013, flume embarked on his solo tour and to add to the infinity prism the studio developed almost two hours of visual content. a core team of six directors produced a diverse range of work – spanning everything from live action, motion graphics, CGI animation and generative animations.

this work toured with flume through his sold out australian tour at venues such as the horden pavilion in sydney, festival hall in melbourne and riverstage in brisbane. it was then taken thought sell out shows in the UK and europe and later to the US. flume was recently awarded ‘best live act’ for this show in the 2013 inthemix awards.
