designed by an architect for architects, florim ceramiche’s sensi of casa dolce casa defines large ceramic surfaces that are a perfect harmony between the built and natural environments. created by italian architect matteo thun, the design blends the boundaries between interior and exterior, all whilst appearing with a delicate, subtle yet highly emotive, flexible aesthetic and function. at closer inspection, the tiles reveal an ancient story as old as the earth itself.

the surfaces of sensi of casa dolce casa are a fusion of nature, creation and technique. the material appears as if made up of earth blended together with light mineral elements infused. this union of nature and innovation not only captures but mirrors the durability and power of nature itself. the resulting design is distinguished by a neutral, soft and natural color and a very thin finish. a pattern, described as ‘non-color’, reflects the graininess and light effect of the earth.

sensi is a synthesis of nature and innovation in more ways than one; its foundation focuses on sustainability and circularity too. with every choice of the design, the creative process was conscious of its environment and energy impacts. as such, the surfaces are made from natural raw materials together with 60% of recycled materials. its high quality and durability ensures the ceramics last a very long life cycle, where, after between 50 and 60 years, it can be removed and disposed of responsibly. the design is also the result of a 100% sustainable production process in terms of water consumption, production waste recovery and self-generated electricity.

as a reflection of the power but also wonder of nature, the ceramic tiles of sensi are incredibly characterful. soft, natural tones create a sense of comfort and perfect balance within living spaces, both inside and out. it is also designed to enrich your senses: a treat to gaze upon, where its mineral elements sparkle subtly and intriguingly upon varying light; and equally a treat to caress when smoothly passing one’s feet and hands over the soft surface finish.

casa dolce casa fabricates the tiles in six sizes: 120×120 cm, 120×240 cm, 120×280 cm, 80×80 cm, 60×120 cm, and 40×80 cm. there are also 20 color options, where four hues – white, ivory, grey and taupe – each offer four different surfaces: dust, sand, lithos and fossil. with all these choices, architects and interior designers can choose between three thicknesses of 6 mm, 10 mm and 20 mm.
