FENDI CASA OPENS IN PIAZZA DELLA SCALA, MILAN
Just a few steps from Brera, Milan‘s most fashionable district, FENDI Casa opens its first flagship store in a landmark building located in Piazza della Scala. The boutique store fuses the famous brand’s most iconic codes and signature features, endowing the space with a grandeur interplay of solids and voids, and light and shadow. Nine world-renowned designers including names like Piero Lissoni, Cristina Celestino, Toan Nguyen, atelier oï, and Peter Mabeo, fill the two-floor space with furniture for the living and dining room, bedroom, and the outdoors. With explicit attention to detail ranging from the textures to the color patterns, the kaleidoscopic world of FENDI Casa unfolds.

the world of fashion & design endure immerse the flagship store
Established by Adele and Edoardo Fendi in Rome in 1925, the house of FENDI is synonymous with quality, tradition, experimentation and creativity, which are evidently carried into the 2022 flagship store. This first inauguration represents a key component of the path started in 2021 with the prestigious partnership signed between Design Holding and FENDI, that together formed Fashion Furniture Design (FF Design), a joint venture developing the FENDI Casa world.
‘This first opening is a major milestone in the brand’s strategic development. Situated in the heart of Milan, next to the Teatro alla Scala, one of the city’s most important and representative city landmarks, the boutique is located in an ideal position between the world of fashion and that of design. A prestigious showcase, enhancing the new collection while providing a unique experience for our customers,’ as Alberto Da Passano, CEO of FF Design, points out.

9 renowned designers complete the 2022 fendi casa collection
With dedication to its values and background, the interior of the boutique creates an immersive experience with rich references to the historical Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana in Rome, now used as the headquarters for the italian fashion brand. The boutique, which covers a total area of around 700 square metres, features 13 large windows overlooking the street. The overhead, mezzanine glass wall also references the roman arches, that delicately reflect those across.
In keeping with the brand’s fundamental values of authenticity, the collaboration with Peter Mabeo continues. Born from the founder of the Botswana-based design studio and FENDI’s Artistic Directors Kim Jones, Silvia Venturini Fendi and Delfina Delettrez Fendi, the KOMPA Collection animate the store’s iconic windows. First unveiled at Design Miami/ 2021, each of the six artisanal pieces explores time-honored crafting techniques, connecting past to future.
living, reading and dining areas unfold sequentially to convey other highlights of the 2022 collection
Living, reading and dining areas unfold sequentially to convey other highlights of the 2022 collection. These include the Five sofa and armchairs designed by Marcel Wanders, the Arches table by atelier oï, and the Parsifal sofa and armchairs by Thierry Lemaire, coordinated with the Marrakesh tables designed by Toan Nguyen and the Vittoria sideboard by Cristina Celestino. The new version of the Ford dining table is paired with the Doyle chairs, and the Sandia sofa and armchairs, also by Toan Nguyen, are accompanied by Chiara Andreatti’s Astuccio Canes occasional tables. An outdoor area, enriched by Piero Lissoni‘s Sagano Collection, is proposed within a stimulating connection to the inside and outside.

fendi casa unveils an authentic, immersive experience
A few steps downstairs, the space is dedicated to the sleeping area, playing with different levels set apart by a marble floor. The eye catches the Landscape bed by studio Marcel Wanders, complemented by the Vanitoso dressing table by atelier oï. Ahead, a living area features the Grand Plie’ sofa and armchairs by Thierry Lemaire, matched with the Tarsia coffee tables of Toan Nguyen. A cosy reading nook, dominated by Dimorestudio’s Roma daybed, completes the installation. A wide selection of accessories and complementary items embellish each room, such as the line of rugs from Yellow Sign featuring the characteristic yellow accent, to Tiles, with the FENDI Pequin striped pattern. Finally, Karl Lagerfeld‘s Karligraphy logo is offered in two versions: an all-over macro-pattern or explosive in the Big Karl option.
