to distinguish each one of these hundred-plus textiles, sunbrella’s bahia and odyssey collections display an array of styles to decorate your interior or exterior project, from a palette of vibrant colors or pastel shades to refined geometric or bold, solid patterns. the fabrics all try and evoke six different yet highly emotive moods, be it a place, an atmosphere or special occasion inscribed as a key memory of our lives. the objects then become ones of desire, of distinct memories, and of a timeless quality to the user or inhabitants.

the textures of bahia are inspired by rich ethnic influences found across the globe

focusing on and reinterpreting current trends, bahia creates 57 ranges each evoking a different impression, from exoticism to escapism. a variety of rich ethnic influences have inspired and been infused into the textures, sourcing and celebrating the unique diversity of humanity and nature found around the world. the collection includes the pure, minimal aesthetic of ‘zori’ and its 14 powdery and iridescent hues; four summery, mediterranean-inspired patterns and colors of ‘foutah’; and the vivid, life-like plant-inspired jacquad weave of ‘ikebana’.

as a collection of simplicity and refinement, odyssey unites 148 different references into 53 new designs. the varied fabrics appear in a wide range of colors, from the discrete to more contrasting options. each one explores the overarching themes of elegance and timelessness but in unique styles. these differ from the classic texture and tactility of ‘natté’ and its 23 color choices, to the high-resilience of ‘solids’ and its 50 available tones, and the warm, comforting personality of ‘archi’ and its six mineral and natural colors.

the bahia and odyssey collections integrate over 50 years of expertize and knowledge from sunbrella. performance and design combine to create refined textiles that are equally at home inside or out. they enhance a special dyeing process that, by adding pigments of color into the heart of every fiber, increases durability and longevity. as a further consideration to its ecological impact, the brand’s use of mass dyed acrylic saves water consumption, and they recover and recycle all of their waste.
