elian cycles unveils the smooth and powerful e-drive cargobike

dutch handcrafted bicycle elian cycles released the elian e-drive cargobike, an electric cargobike that’s built to suit the rider, exceeding all expectations. the new bike is smooth, silent, stable and powerful, and is fitted with an ultra silent direct drive motor. these features provide the rider with all the torque when taking off. the bicycle’s motor is the powerful and smooth neodrives: it’s soundless, trouble free and extremely low on maintenance.

the elian e-bike gifts the rider with that great feeling of permanent tailwind, to ride around effortlessly, even when carrying heavier loads. the efficiency of the neodrives rear motor has been increased once again and, at an efficiency of 85 % (at the optimal operating point 18–25 km/h), it far exceeds that of competitors. this new motor means an even greater range – a life changer that lasts a lifetime.

elian has specifically placed the motor in the rear, so the user can always update the bike or even go back to a motor-less cargo. most e-cargobikes come with a middle motor, which renders the bike useless in case of motor problems. elian believes a bike should last a lifetime, and the rear motor of choice meets the same high quality standards as the patented steering hub and the engineered chromoly steel space frame.

the patented steering hub provides the brilliantly balanced and perfectly controlled ride desired in a cargobike. the new e-drive is also custom made, matching each rider’s style. with 10 years of experience in custom bike building, elian assembles the e-drive using only top-of-the-line, perfect matching components.

all the elian cargobikes are built to order, and each one can get tailored to each client’s individual preferences. some choose add gravel tires for the b-road adventures or schwalbe slicks for the ultimate city race experience. based on client feedback, elian created custom made add-ons such as a shopping bag, a dog pillow, a children’s bench with sun and rain cover and even a very basic but effective cargo net.
