seungji mun designs zero waste economical chair

the ‘economical chair’ is a second model in continuation of the earlier ‘four brothers collection’ by designer seungji mun. like previous editions, the chairs–up to four–are produced from a single piece of 4’x8′ international standard plywood with no scrap material. the simply shaped seats are created using plywood bending processes, allowing for inexpensive and low waste mass production. mun hopes that this project, and future additions, will lead towards changes in design to minimize industrial wastes.
