designer flora koel unveils ‘OLA’, a collection of beach poufs that take shape in situ, filling up with the surrounding sand. made from upcycled plastic, the series features three different seats that are easily transported while empty, and can be made full in any desired beachy location, providing a comfortable surface to sit, or lean on next to the sea.

‘OLA’ is essentially a collection of sandbags, made out of reclaimed plastic from boats, yacht tarpaulins, and seat belts. designed by flora koel and produced with the support of french fashion house bilum, the series includes three poufs: the ‘O’, the ‘A’ and the ‘L’ which allows users to store and transport the other two. ‘OLA’ is about respecting the earth and leaving the sand where it is supposed to be — you ‘rent’ it for the afternoon and you give it back to the beach when you go home.
