Domus Academy, the famed design school in Milan, Italy, opens a series of competitions for its scholarships in 2023. Aspiring product, fashion, business and experience designers are challenged with briefs focused on their respective fields for each competition. The institute is expanding its academic offering for 2023 with 2-year Masters of Arts programs: Design Innovation, and Fashion: Design, Art & Technology. 1-year Masters Programs and Double Award Masters Programs include Masters courses within product, service, interaction, interior and living, and visual brand design; fashion design, fashion management and fashion styling and visual merchandising; urban vision and architectural design; and business design. Aspiring scholars can apply via project-based or portfolio competitions.

The project-based competition challenges prospective Masters students to respond to different briefs set by the faculty — a team of international professionals in the respective fields. The specifics of the each brief focus on current or future challenges, covering topics like sustainability, diversity, inclusivity, circularity and more. This competition is aimed for those enrolling for the Academic Masters programs and Double Award Masters programs starting in September and November 2023.

In contrast, the portfolio competition is targeted towards students who wish to enrol in the Academic Masters programs, Double Award Masters programs, and 2-year Master of Arts programs. These start in September 2023 respectively, and the 2-year Master of Arts programs from October 2023.

For aspiring students, Domus Academy offers scholarships in 2023 to partly cover the total tuition fee, depending on the course of interest. This is up to €7,500 euro for the Academic Masters programs and 2-year Masters of Arts programs. €9,000 euro is covered for the Double Awards Masters programs. Ready to enter?
