designboom architecture editorial internship

the internship would begin in may/june 2011, and continue for 8 months. you will work in designboom’s office in milan, italy, where you will be an essential member of a small international team of smart people focused on solving design and communication challenges. you will report directly to the designboom’s executives and will be co-responsible for producing the majority of the original content on designboom. working hours are monday to friday, 9am – 6pm (except in circumstances where we may have to work extra to meet deadlines). you will receive a contribution to your living expenses and work-travel stipend. as part of your internship you will experience the life and culture of milan.

editorial internship in architecture we are looking for a creative and enthusiastic individual who is interested in writing about architecture and design and helping to manage the day-to-day production of designboom’s editorial content. you should have good writing skills, an eye for detail, and experience in editing for accuracy and flow.

at present, we are looking specifically for someone with a background in architecture.

you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience of internet publishing. you will be actively involved in developing provocative features, current news updates, and analyzing architecture’s artistic, technical, social and economic dimensions. responsibilities include photography, editing and uploading images and video footage, compiling clips, and much more. we use macs, so skills using the adobe suite, particularly photoshop, are a plus. ideally you are also proficient in using social networking sites professionally.
