defoss combines classic components and modern technology for LOGIGRAM record player

dedicated to the pleasure of taking a moment for yourself and your music, design studio defoss has created LOGIGRAM, a record player combining traditional components and modern technologies. the 100% analog music player aims to restore the collective function of music in a world where the popularity of headphones has made it become a completely private moment.

LOGIGRAM hopes to restore the collective nature of music

LOGIGRAM has been designed and developed as a faithful music player that can transmit emotions, thanks to its aesthetics. linear design, classic volume and shape – innovative details deriving from careful study and research is characterized in the shape of the plinth, which incorporates a reinforcing layer of composite material. this allows defoss to create an anti-resonant barrier between the tonearm/cartridge axis and the motor, a solution that not only significantly improves the quality of music reproduction but has become the studio’s trademark.

the turntable’s innovative details derive from a careful study of the device

thanks to 3D printing, defoss managed to manufacture a single piece tonearm – from the cartridge platform to counterweight stub – optimally shaped and formed to provide a totally even mechanical response with low friction bearings. LOGIGRAM works as a plug-and-play turntable, with a 33.3 and 45 rpm synchronous motor and a belt drive.

designed, developed and produced entirely in italy, it is available in 3 models, also coming in completely white or black and made of a 30 mm MDF (medium-density fibreboard) plinth and it comes with the audio-technica AT95E MM cartridge. the premium wood used by defoss is made of a 30mm plywood and comes with the ortofon 2m red mm cartridge. LOGIGRAM can be purchased through a crowdfunding campaign via kickstarter.
