netherlands-based studio de vorm presents a series of environments to explore the adaptability and functionality of their diverse product line. the rooms are stripped down to their essence, furnished sparingly using only necessary objects that are made with the studio’s signature PET-felt material. the textile is made of recycled PET bottles which are sorted, processed, and eventually turned into a soft, durable fabric with excellent acoustic characteristics.

de vorm firmly believes in the integration of sustainable and environmentally friendly objects into contemporary interior design practice. PET is UV stabilized, is fully recyclable, and doesn’t emit formaldehyde or other gaseous toxins. within the diverse scenarios presented, there are inclusions from the ‘living PET’ collection by lorenzo palmeri. the animals were originally made for stone italia and made of stone; re-imagined in PET, they’re now capable of dampening ambient noise, and make an excellent showpiece. the ‘living PET’ line was recently shown at ventura lambrate during milan design week 2015.
