sydney-based designer daniel so has created the clothes rack ‘spine.’ designed with production and distribution in mind, it is composed by stacking and bolting the same core parts together, which allows for manufacturing efficiency via repetition. these stacked sections also enable easy assembly and disassembly, saving space and cost during transportation with flat packing.

these logistical advantages make ‘spine’ an appealing option for retail environments, strengthened by its aesthetic qualities for offices or shop windows that need to display several types of items simultaneously. however, ‘spine’ is also useful in domestic settings, allowing users to organize their various garments into one stable unit: each spiraling arm serves one clothing item and provides enough space vertically and radially so that the items do not interfere with each other.
