‘injera’ is a traditional bread ubiquitously found and produced in ethiopia. made primarily with the teff grain, cultivated locally, the common dish has yet to make its way into the modern home kitchen. dana douiev, an industrial design student at bezalel academy, set out to change that fact with a set of innovative utensils specialized for the preparation of ‘injera’. included in the kitchenwares are: a ventilated bowl for dough mixing (and setting), small handheld mixing bowl with spoon and integrated drip catch, and cooking skillet with cover. ‘injera’ was completed under the guidance of professor ido bruno at bezalel academy of arts and design.
