an international postgraduate school of design in milan, italy, the creative academy was established by the richemont group–a holding company that owns several of the world’s leading luxury companies.

 

the institution offers specialized training in design for applied arts, with a particular focus on jewellery, watchmaking and fashion accessories. its mission is to offer young future professionals the most efficacious tools necessary to answer the constantly evolving demands of the production world.

creative academy offers a master of arts in design and applied arts that teaches students how to design, draft and produce real-life products for the luxury sector. the aim of the program is to turn theory into professional practice, spanning the entire creative process–from the earliest concept phase, to product development and craftsmanship, marketing, communication and visual merchandising–and includes lessons about the dynamics of the luxury world and the competitive benefits produced by applied creativity. the first 7 months (january – july) of the course is composed of practical and theoretical lessons, while the final period of 3 months (sepetember – november) sees deserving students completing internships at one of richemont’s many affiliated trademark companies so that they gain first-hand industry experience.

the academy has a lot of open spaces for student collaboration, while an extensive library is housed on the upper level

 

 

located in the northwestern part of milan, the school is situated within a spacious loft renovated specifically for the school in 2004. the ground floor of the building is home to a large 300-square-meter area dedicated to cultural events and exhibitions, as well as offices, classrooms and research facilities.  the school boasts a library with an important archive of volumes on jewellery, watchmaking and design which grows every year thanks to generous private donations.
