with more than 111,000 visitors and 800 exhibitors the previous year, CERSAIE 2019 once again aims to be the foremost international event for ceramic, surface coverings and bathroom furnishings. the show unites the industry as a showcase for the latest developments and design trends, and as the ideal location to further build networks. as part of the bologna design week, CERSAIE runs in the italian city from 23-27 september, 2019.

for CERSAIE 2019, the event adopts a new image called ‘open CERSAIE’. the idea encompasses a new exhibition concept that, as well as continuing to showcase a range of products, focuses on diversity and creating conversation, which has led to a new, more inclusive logo design. with that said, the show will, as always, offer an insightful preview for innovative products, materials, shapes and technologies.
under their new exhibition concept, the ceramics fair includes a wide curation of programs. these include building, dwelling, thinking program of architectural meetings; the CERSAIE business missions for international architects; the design and lifestyle meetings hosted in the press cafes; the practical and theory demonstrations in tiling town; the italian style thematic shows; and the home renovation meetings for end consumers in CERSAIE designs your home.
as part of the building, dwelling, thinking program, the architecture gallery will host a range of conferences keynoted by internationally acclaimed architects and designers. so far, chilean architect felipe assadi is the first of the famed names to be announced, with his work best known for the use of low-cost materials that are easy to find and transport and can be assembled and disassembled rapidly.
