carpenters workshop gallery has hosted a unique group show in its parisian gallery in le marais. entitled ‘organic’, the exhibition presents artworks of 12 designers, including atelier van lieshout, andrea branzi, humberto & fernando campana, wendell castle, ingrid donat, vincent dubourg, lonneke gordijn & ralph nauta, joris laarman, frederik molenschot, marc quinn, rick owens and charles trevelyan, whose work is characterized by a vast range of material and color palettes.

influenced or created from vegetable tans, animal forms and textures, the works highlight nature’s aesthetic dimension, as can be seen from the campana brothers’ pirarucu’s skin furniture piece. the artists have imagined functional sculptures whose shapes refer to the complexity of the organic reality, creating a new vocabulary through their reinterpretation of mother nature’s elements.
