capsula pendant light by czech designer lucie koldova is a hanging lamp composed of two oval orbs of glass, which intersect to create a complete compact form. the duo of convex capsules overlap one another, merging into a single shape recalling the organic structure of cells or plant seeds. the outer most shell is made of crystal clear, transparent glass, while the internal piece is tinted in various colors like yellow, purple, and a blue gray. an optical three-dimensional effect is created through the bichromal coinciding sections. the whole structure is gently fixed together by a tubular light source connected on each side by small wooden side bases, and hung from a ceiling by black cord. the series was presented at designblok prague 2013 for the czech glass lighting brand, brokis.
