Expanding their mystical snake-inspired accessories collection, Coppertist.Wu returns with a handcrafted earrings set depicting a horned rattlesnake eating its own tail. The intricately textured Ouroboros Earrings draw on the ancient alchemy symbol of the Ouroboros which embodies concepts of the cycles of life, birth, and reincarnation, through the form of either a snake or a dragon. With this collection, a rattlesnake cast in either brass or silver encapsulates cyclical notions of eternity and hope. Its rounded body forms the hoop of the earring, engraved with delicate pointed scales and piercing black zirconia eyes.

With a 1.7 cm diameter, Coppertist.Wu’s rounded brass rattlesnake earrings depict an image of an Ouroboros winding to devour its own tail. One end is marked by the reptile’s two-horned head, embedded with striking 0.9 mm wide eyes made of black zirconia. Along its body, stretching from its head to its tail, the design team has hand-carved pointed scales projecting outwards, adding dimensional texture and an intricate stylistic quality to the jewelry. ‘This exceptional creature moves in a special ‘side-winding’ motion, leaving S-shaped marks on its tracks. They are so named because the triangular projections over their eyes give them a horn-like appearance. This inspired us to transform these magnificent animals into lovely ouroboros earrings,’ explains the team at Coppertist.Wu.

The Ouroboros Earrings are handcrafted and available in the highest quality of brass and 925 sterling silver. Along both material iterations, they lack nickel alloys, which combined with the materials’ elemental qualities protects wearers with sensitive skin from allergic reactions, and preserves the earrings’ durable bodies from rusting.
