Iris Ceramica presents Bottega d’Arte: a project dedicated to high-end red body claddings that echo the beauty of manual craftsmanship. With origins from the traditional red clay production process, the project combines a handmade aesthetic with cutting-edge technology, blending the heritage and artistic qualities that characterize the ceramics brand.

The very name Bottega d’Arte literally means art workshop in English. The 2023 project by Iris Ceramica reveals all its significance and meaning, referring on the one hand to the Art and Crafts movement of William Morris, who fought to give the so-called ‘minor arts’ the same dignity as the so-called ‘fine arts,’ and on the other to an intimate relationship with production – as in a Renaissance workshop. Through this collection, the brand rediscovers the importance of craftsmanship and revives red clay production methods, making use of its industrial resources combined with manufacturing expertise to add the cachet of ‘handmade’ to these ceramics.

The collection finds its creative expression on three broad color families: ‘Natural’ highlights the opacity of the colors and enhances the shades with a satin feel; ‘Shiny and reflective’ create a soft effect, which accentuates the intense chromatic variations; and ‘Polished’ brings out pearly iridescent reflections that illuminate the ceramics and make the colors more bright and vivid. The variety expands as Bottega d’Arte is also offered in five finishes: TerreLustrate, TerreLucide, TerreCotte, TerreCotte Oro and TerreLucide Oro.

Additionally, the collection is available in a single size (15×15) which maintains the dimensions that were so characteristic of the classic style of the past, bringing the traditions of ceramics to life with a contemporary creativity.
