Over 70 years of crafting interiors

Since it’s establishment in 1952, BoConcept has been collaborating with visionary designers to create furniture, accessories, and lighting collections for domestic and office settings. Jens Ærthøj and Tage Mølholm, two cabinet makers, founded the company by producing handmade products for local customers. With Denmark’s late industrialization, BoConcept began utilizing machines to increase supply without compromising the simplicity, elegance, and quality of their designs that customers had grown to love. Today, what started as a small local furniture business has evolved into a global retail chain and Denmark’s largest furniture brand.

In 2023, BoConcept keeps up with the changing times by adapting to new ideas within the world of workspace design. The furniture makers learned from the Covid pandemic that the traditional approach of a static desk is no longer the only way to create a successful office. In Denmark, flat workplace hierarchies are common practice, where individuals relate to each other as equals regardless of job position. With over 90 unique fabrics, providing a diverse range of colors and textures, BoConcept’s Live ‘Ekstraordinær embraces activity-based working and allows productivity to flourish.
