biennale interieur kortrijk: dessuant bone is a multidisciplinary design consultancy based in paris, specializing in direction, design, product, and interiors. they were invited by the biennale interieur in belgium, to create a unique collaboration with allaert aluminium that focuses on an experience and emotion. the result is an installation called ‘perpetual movement’ that transposes basic architectural elements, such as windows and doors into sculptures. the aluminum brand focused on the otiima low profile frame system, creating an approach that is both creative and informative.
the installation seamlessly moves inside the stand
set within a white stand, the installation conceived by studio dessuant bone is a varied approach to design and architecture but all with a clearly curated feel. the colors, movement, form and dimensions of the self-standing piece aims to guarantee maximum exposure with a unique engaging experience. composed of three different layers, the visitor is invited to be bedazzled by these glass objects that rhythmically move, giving a different angle and perception with each second.

‘we were invited by the biennale to create a unique collaboration that focused on an experience and emotion with a brand or company of our choice to celebrate its 25th edition.’ explained philip and marie, who worked with allaert aluminium to create the ‘perpetual motion’ series. ‘these sculptures aim to utilize all the know how, high-end and creative orientated facets of the allaert aluminium brand, especially focusing on the otiima low profile frame system; in an approach that is both creative and informative.’
