as with the ‘talma’ lounge chair by british designer benjamin hubert, the dining chair addition for italian furniture company moroso references a cloak draping over the chair’s construction. the seating series is based around the concept of ‘fashion for furniture’, and comprises a softly padded fabric wrapped around a lightweight CNC-formed steel framework, mirroring the way a blanket would wrap around the human body. available with or without arms, the ‘talma’ dining chair’s cover is made using a cloth developed by hubert’s in-house team of designers in collaboration with dutch textile manufacturer, innofa. the edges of the cover are trimmed in leather to seal the material, which fastens to the frame using a series of zippers.
