barbie launches doll collection made from 90% recycled ocean-bound plastic

mattel has introduced the first barbie collection made from 90% recycled ocean-bound plastic. dubbed barbie loves the ocean, the launch presents a big step in mattel’s goal of achieving 100% recycled, recyclable or bio-based plastic materials across all of its products and packaging by 2030.

the barbie loves the ocean collection features three dolls whose bodies are made from 90% recycled ocean-bound plastic parts and is accompanied by the beach shack playset also made from 90% recycled plastic. the company also guarantees its high manufacturing standards will deliver the same quality expected from the world renowned doll.
