ANTRAX IT REVEALS some of the BEST SELLING DESIGNER RADIATORS

As icons that have contributed to the Italian brand’s unique identity over its twenty-year history, Antrax IT‘s most celebrated, best selling pieces have been unified into one curation. The collection, called Griffe, the radiators each display a innovative approach merging design, technology and the environment. Designers, such as Daniel Libeskind, Piero Lissoni, Marc Sadler and Matteo Thun, have signed some of Antrax’s awarded, recognized and acclaimed products in the market.

The world of Antrax IT showcases its rich portfolio with radiators produced in partnership with international architects and designers as well as products which have been awarded major accolades all over the world. Some of the most significant collaborations include names like Andrea Crosetta, Dante O Benini and Luca Gonzo, Francesco Lucchese, Massimo Iosa Ghini, Victor Vasilev, Peter Rankin, Matteo Thun and Antonio Rodriguez, as well as Daniel Libeskind, Marc Sadler and Piero Lissoni. While design meets technology, the dedication to sustainability remains strong as all the production phases of the designer radiators are managed through processes with a very low environmental impact that involve the use of 100% recyclable materials.

SERIE T BY Matteo Thun & Antonio Rodriguez

Conceived in 2012 by Matteo Thun & Antonio Rodriguez, Serie T represents Antrax’s most extensive product family with a range of new integrations and configurations. Inspired by the metal extrusion used in construction, the radiator is made of 100% recyclable aluminum with a special T-shaped cross section, which can be customized to the nearest centimeter as if a tailor-made outfit. Besides its dimensions, the device can also be adapted in regards to its function, serving as a bookcase as well. Running on water or electricity, Serie T can be evolved into a free-standing version that ensures free positioning in the space.

Android by Daniel Libeskind features a surface of geometric facets and play of shadows

‘android’ by d.libeskind & ‘flaps’ by v.vasilev

Android, designed Daniel Libeskind, features an undulating surface of geometric facets that play under the light. This gives a dynamic sequence of shadows. Made of 100% recyclable extruded aluminum, the radiator provides a high thermal efficiency and great energy savings, as it can be fully operational in a very short time.

Likewise to Android, another high-efficiency product is Flaps by Victor Vasilev, offered in hydraulic or electric version. As the name hints, the design interrupts the concept of the plate and its usual formal cleanliness with folds that simultaneously act as possible shelves for towels.

‘Byobu’ by Marc Sadler & ‘Waffle’ by Piero Lissoni

Byobu and Waffle, respectively designed by Marc Sadler and Piero Lissoni, are the latest products presented on the market by Antrax IT. The former, mainly conceived for the bathroom environment, draws inspiration from the typical Japanese decorative folding screens, reinterpreted through a single or double heating body. The shape swivels around a central pin offering the possibility to hide bathrobes and towels, hung on a hook called ‘Momoko’. Waffle is a transversal project inspired by the kinetic art of Enrico Castellani and the classic cast iron radiator. The result is a heating device characterized by a three-dimensional geometric surface, while its material imprint is combined with a high radiant power and technical performance. For maximum functionality, a wooden handle of walnut or natural ash can be inserted.

‘ghisa’ by rodolfo dordoni

Finally, Ghisa debuts in Antrax IT’s newly opened showroom in the city during Milan Design Week. The radiator, designed by Rodolfo Dordoni, reimagines the historic cast iron radiators of the past. It reconstructs the proportions, details, the relationship between full and empty spaces, the joints between the elements, thicknesses, and depth. In similar fashion to the ‘Waffle’, it is available in a selection of finishes and can be accessorized with hooks and towel rails in polished stainless steel for its use in the bathroom.
