antoine mège is a french creative whose areas of expertise delve into architecture interiors, scenography, and product design. this varied skill set led hind rabii to approach mège with a request for an innovative lighting system that would be presented at maison et objet 2014. the result of the collaboration has led to a combination of archetypes called ‘baladeuse’.

the device’s construction consists of a layering of copper wire and white cotton components. the outermost surface is supplied by the minimalist structure of a cylindrical wireframe. its four rings are evenly dispersed and connected by vertical connections that twist into the transparent diffuser. this formal manipulation allows the lamp to be multi-configurational, meaning that it can be freestanding, suspended, or clipped virtually anywhere within a room and disperse light in relation to the needs of the user.
