designed as a contemporary interpretation of a traditional corner bench, ‘stijl’ by german designer alexander seifried for richard lampert is a modular seating and table series. the set draws its name from the ‘de stijl’ (the style) neoplasticism and abstractionist movement. designed in three lengths, the table features a drawer and shelf that recall the alpine design tradition. a chair, bench, and corner bench can be configured to fit a range of needs around the surface unit: each composed of five layers of coniferous wood either plain or upholstered in suede or fabric.
