french designers ronan and erwan bouroullec have expanded the alcove product family for vitra with the addition of ‘alcove plume’ for IMM cologne 2014. the low-slung sofa — like the original alcove highback sofa by the bouroullec brothers — proves that a piece of furniture can go beyond seating to become a room within a room. placing emphasis on casual comfort, the thick seat cushions provide adequate support without sinking in too deep, combining quilted side and back panels to create a cosy and restful nest. available in a range of vibrant colorways, the upholstered furnishing offers an inviting place to put up your feet, kickback and relax.
