situated 3,000 feet atop the summit of la rhune mountain in the south of france, artists guillaumit and thomas bernard of gangpol & mit have installed a temporary mini-golf course. made up of letters spelling ‘panorama’, the intervention known as ABCDGOLF has been developed as part of the panoramika event, which celebrates the 90th anniversary of la rhune’s historic train system. according to the verge, the self-contained course is intended to be a statement about man’s impact on the environment. each hole features unique obstacles and distinctive themes such as ‘A’ for aquatic and ‘o’ for ‘ordinateur’, which means computer in french. the set-up will run through november 11th alongside contemporary art and music pieces from local residents.
