on the occasion of milan design week 2018, british design studio faye toogood has been asked to create a new range of modular seating for okayama-based textile producer takeyari. titled ‘ABCD’, the collection comprises four outsized cushions shaped like the first four letters of the latin alphabet.

due to the sophisticated yet very simple mechanism the studio developed, faye toogood’s cloud-like cushions can be easily assembled using a simple robe into a soft and comfortable armchair or form a leg-free modular sofa. the cushions are upholstered with canvas weaved by takeyari since 1888 which is known for its thickness and durability.
