as a notably and integral part of the A’ design award and competition, the honors platform allows work to be entered into a choice of over 100 different categories, branched under six super-classes; good industrial design award, good architecture design award, good product design award, good communication design award, good service design award and good fashion design award. the variety of sub-groupings, such as; architecture, building and structure design; packaging design; and footwear, shoes and boots design, enable creators to select the most relevant category for their projects.

the ‘into the world of art’ gallery by joy chou, is designed for private collection showcasing and exhibitions, where the entertainment of friends is a key initiative for the project. as a concept of streamlining, the space has an infinite aesthetic direction that employs a rhythm to design circulation. in doing so, gallery visitors follow the flowing designs such as the floral ceilings, from the reception to different areas of the space.

located on the dameisha golden coast in eastern shenzhen, china, the ‘airland’ hotel shenzhen was completed by creative director honglei lui and chief designer yuxin yang. as a small-scale hotel resort, the renovation project utilizes pure white spaces dressed with wood grains and curves, to allow sunlight to shine through the open areas. the lobby is a clear example of this work as the light creates changing shadows and lines, almost like an abstract painting.

designed by fernanda marques arquitetos associados, the ‘london penthouse’ interior design project focuses on creating bright and open spaces. here, the rooms were designed to interconnect by limiting doors to only the really indispensable ones. as well, the clients wished to display their extensive art collection whilst at the same time offering a relaxing space for their children.

located in wuxi, china, the ‘coastal cinema’ by one plus partnership limited and its team members; ajax law ling kit and virginia lung, studies the dynamic interface between the ocean and the land. the oval-shaped lobby welcomes guests with its large curvature forms, just like the coastal line between the land and sea. furthermore, powder-coated metal rods, which are also located in the reception, simulates waves as they are rising and falling.
