when architect and 3d designer ayoub ahmad identifies what he does, he turns to the statement ‘possessing creative thinking to come up with innovative designs.’ by the looks of his new project titled ‘the HV-001’, he is not only creating a futuristic car, but the car of the future. with the rapid development of technology, creativity, and techniques, his car’s design may just be as well tomorrow’s reality, especially with the use of algorithms to fuel the look. 

 

as the designer explains the features of his car design: ‘the HV-001 is not just a good looking sports car, but it is a hybrid supercar, an original design made to comply with the revolutionary new 3D printing car manufacturing processes. it has a twin-turbo v8 engine combined with two electric motors on the front axle supported by supercapacitors to improve efficiency and maintain high performance.’

ahmad employed the technique of parametric or generative design, an exploration process that allows designers or engineers to feed their design inputs into the generative design software. they also input parameters such as performance or spatial requirements, materials, manufacturing methods, and cost constraints. the software then generates all possible design solutions and alternatives, testing each result to see what works and what will not. ahmad’s design reflects this process, one of the many solutions the software had offered him.
