Gipara ‘Adaptiva’ is a modular + highly adaptable crossfit rig

Gipara, Poland’s biggest sports accessory manufacturer, commissioned studio 2s.design to create the most extensive product in its catalog, ‘Adaptiva’. It is a modular training system consisting of a structural frame and a selection of training accessories. Highly combinable, adaptable, and easy to assemble, the crossfit rig can be made to measure for spaces of various sizes — from hotel rooms to large gyms.

‘The core idea of ‘Gipara Adaptiva’ is flexibility and modularity: we were tasked with creating a solution that allows each user to construct a customized training space. Therefore, we have designed a simple, versatile structure adaptable to different interiors – in sports facilities and at home – and adapted according to trainers’ requirements,’ states 2s.design (see more here).

The basis of the system consists of the mainframe with a simple, universal form, available in different color tones. Variants of handles, ladders, shelves, and rods help create an optimal set, one that is easy to modify and expand. There is also the option to purchase ready-made, larger sets, which can then be combined.

The modular system is built using high-quality steel with an anti-slip coating and, where necessary, protective rubber and polyamide pads. The work on the structure involved various production technologies – namely steel processing, hot-dip galvanizing, powder coating, and elastomer injection. Once the ‘Gipara Adaptiva’ was developed, the designers also handled prototyping and testing, after which they supervised implementation and provided consultation during production.
