masquespacio refreshes doctor manzana gadgets brand and store

spanish firm masquespacio has redesigned a fresh brand image and new interior concept for ‘doctor manazana’, a store specializing in technical services for smartphones and tablets, as well as selling gadgets for mobile devices. located in valencia, spain the project is the first physical point of sale for the company, who until recently only operated online. due to the growth of the company, the graphic identity of the brand was reaccessed and a new colorful logo adopted. reflecting the main idea of the ‘touchscreen’ an angle of 54 degrees was used throughout the space.

‘talking about the colors as we started from a company name allied with a doctor we wanted to create a concept based on a hospital, however as we didn’t want to create a conventional design, we discarded this option, but maintaining blue and green colors as a reference to the first word in the company’s brand name.’ says ana milena hernández palacios, creative director of masquespacio.

the exterior façade also incorporates the bold angles and colors of the new graphic identity, with the windows containing lines such as ‘doctor manzana? is it an orthopedic doctor? no! it’s a team of technicians specialized in smashes, drops and accidents for smartphones and tables.’ an integrated system blows air throughout the store, while details such as the blue curtain refers to aspects of hospital design. industrial looking galvanized steel sheets are contrasted against white furniture and pastel colors.
