HANA TEXTILE DESIGN STUDIO is a textile design office founded by HANA MITSUI, based in Tokyo,JAPAN. They transform Japanese traditional textiles into contemporary designs to suit their current lifestyle in collaboration with Japanese skilled craft people. They create textile designs not only for garments industries but also for interior and architecture design fields. For instance, in their past project They created textile wall art for high-end residences in Matsuyama. In their latest project , they created designs for KURUME KASURI (Japanese Traditional Ikat) and SAKIORI(Traditional Rip Weave) for the Milano Salone Satellite2024(B16 HANA MITSUI TEXTILE stand) installation.
