in continuing to support the arts and the emerging creative talent in the UK, british automobile company, vauxhall motors, along with the style council, have identified six up and coming creative talents from the UK for this year’s vauxhall collective. an annual arts bursary, the selected individuals of this year’s collective will be given commission of up to £20,000 each, along with a PR campaign, to help them push their careers to the next level.

the theme for year’s commissions is ‘the great british road trip’, with the collective artists and designers creating work that will relate to the classic road trip story with a british twist.

the members of the 2008 vauxhall collective are: product designer simon hasan for craft & design shoe designer jonathan kelsey for fashion art and independent film maker ben rivers for film matthew darbyshire for fine art experimental photographer and artist gayle chong kwan gideon reeling interactive experiences for the theatre category
