‘ungrid’ is a morphological mesh construction by FAHR 021.3 and simon kassner, for DMY berlin 2015. this year’s festival was held in a former powerhouse in the heart of the city, a massive industrial theater, kraftwerk berlin. ‘ungrid’ fits in the atypical scenery with a disruptive, unexpected shape that shatters the heavy, stoical image of the location. the structure is made of 166 meters of painted wooden segments, held in space by steel cables.
