tom sachs illustrates how to make the perfect mcdonald’s cheeseburger

artist tom sachs has reissued a satirical guide for employees at one of the world’s largest fast food chains. made in collaboration with hamilton press the mcdonald’s graphic standards, details the ins and outs of working for the fast food giant, anything from the proper method of installing toilet paper to the correct way of handing a customer their order.

originally published in 2018 the publication is comprised of a linen-covered, wooden box that houses 13 prints sized at 11 by 15 inches each. each piece features detailed graphics in the artist’s illustrative style, printed on velvet fine art paper. pages go onto detail the correct way to assemble a cheeseburger with measurements of mustard, ketchup and reconstituted onion all included. yum.
