skin speckled with stars, eyes blinded with flowers: a mural by chilean artist inti

70 street artists — graffiti’ists and muralists — converge on lyon, france, where the peinture fraîche festival 2019 features large-scaled, colorful works. one of these artists, inti, a contemporary master of murals from chile, shook the festival with this floral-orange, spacey-purple mural on an off-white facade. all images courtesy of @streetlayers

inti has named his mural ‘soleil, blinded by the light.’ appropriately, his subject seems to be an atelier, whose neck and chest are covered in stars and black holes, and whose eyes are blinded by bright flowers. many more artists are feature their work at peinture fraîche festival, which runs from now until may 12, 2019.
