smach's third open space exhibition is set in the mountainous landscape of the dolomites

SMACH is an open air exhibition that represents the combination of art and nature, where the latter acts as the display of the artistic creations, designed and tailored specifically to the various sites. the artists involved have staged their works in nine places of historical and cultural interest in the towns of san martin de tor and mareo in the dolomites.

the theme of this years SMACH international art competition is contrast — although it generates a tangle, the integration of the artworks into nature creates a contrast between human intervention and natural evolution that is inherent in the environment. through a dialogue between art and nature, the artists want to promote thorough and ongoing consciousness of the historical, cultural and traditional aspects of the area.
