Forêt Monumentale exhibition presents a trail of artworks

The Forêt Monumentale exhibition, led by architect Cristina S. Algarra, presents a trail of monumental artworks in the Roumare Forest, Canteleu, France. This exhibition, spanning four kilometers, runs from June 2024 to September 2026, inviting visitors to explore and appreciate the natural environment through art. The trail features creations by sculptors, landscape artists, designers, and architects, blending art and nature in innovative ways. Visitors embark on a journey through the forest, encountering 13 artworks that challenge traditional notions of art by integrating diverse creative forms.

The Forêt Monumentale exhibition, commissioned by Métropole Rouen Normandie in collaboration with the ONF (French National Forestry Commission), aims to deepen the connection between art and nature, encouraging a renewed appreciation for the forest. The call for projects attracted 326 participants worldwide, including visual artists, designers, and architects, highlighting the event‘s international appeal. This broad participation reflects the global interest in merging artistic expression with natural landscapes.
