Cyril Lancelin fills dubai’s world trade centre with scents

French visual artist Cyril Lancelin infuses his art with scent through Circle Hexagon, an architectural experience designed for Mane, a global leader in fragrance design, presented at Dubai World Trade Centre. Inspired by organic textures and the intricate layers of perfumes, the installation features a labyrinthine structure formed by interconnected, tubular polygons with soft, flowing curves. These textured surfaces, in warm tones of browns and reds, evoke natural elements—wood, earth, and fluid streams.

Circle Hexagon draws from THE complexity of perfume creation

Lyon-based artist Cyril Lancelin’s Circle Hexagon combines digital and physical practices through inflatable materials with high-definition printing. Each angle and surface reveals intricate patterns and textures, mirroring the process of perfume development, from the raw material selection to the final blend, making each element a visual counterpart to Mane’s rich olfactory tradition. Unveiled during BeautyWorld Middle East, the sensory journey deepens with the integration of eight olfactory notes, released at specific points throughout the space. These diffusers engage visitors with various stages of perfume creation, presenting an experience where scent and sight converge to reflect the complexity of fragrance composition.
